As global demand for high-quality content continues to grow across streaming, broadcast, and theatrical platforms, legacy IP is emerging as one of the most valuable yet underutilized assets in the media industry. However, much of this content remains in SD or HD formats, limiting its potential for modern distribution and premium viewing environments.

A work becomes IP only after it has taken root in people’s minds — by nature, IP exists in the past. This is why legacy IP holds enduring value and unique relevance in today’s media landscape. The challenge, however, lies in how to effectively bring these assets into the present without compromising their original artistic intent.

This session explores how AI Super-Scaler enables content owners to transform archival material into theatrical-grade 4K while preserving the integrity of the original work. Rather than focusing solely on technical theory, this session highlights real-world applications across a wide range of content types, spanning TV series, film, animation, and concert films.

We present selected projects involving globally recognized Korean IP, including concert films featuring BTS released across 2,000+ theaters in over 65 countries, as well as restoration work related to films by Academy Award-winning director Bong Joon-ho. In addition, we will share how the solution is currently being applied to animation libraries and ongoing collaborations with partners in the Japanese market.

The session also addressed practical considerations such as source condition variability, quality thresholds for commercial release, and strategies for prioritizing titles with the highest long-term value. Gain insight into how legacy content can be effectively revitalized and repositioned for global distribution in a rapidly evolving media landscape.

Everyone in post-production has ghost stories. The file that got renamed five minutes before delivery. The dailies with timecode starting at zero. The conform where half the media was dumped into one folder with duplicate filenames. The missing reel. The editor who nested everything inside compound clips. We laugh about them afterwards. Sometimes.
For decades, the industry has accepted this chaos as normal. When something breaks, you throw more bodies at it. When a conform gets complicated, your best engineer pulls a late night. When a single VFX shot needs set extensions from one vendor, creature work from a second, and lighting effects from a third, someone has to track every element, every version, every delivery… and when you’re 500 shots deep, that spreadsheet starts haunting your dreams.
There have been attempts to automate pieces of this. A script here, a macro there, a dozen little band-aids that each solve one tiny problem on one specific type of project. But full automation? Conform automation? That has been the white whale of post-production. Everyone who has tried has been beaten by the sheer number of variables that real productions throw at you.

This session is about why that era is over. We’ll share the ghost stories, break down exactly why automation in post has failed every single time, and then introduce you to the system that finally cracked it. Come see why the ghost stories end here.

Gaussian Splatting is quickly moving beyond research and into real-world production pipelines. What began as an experimental rendering technique is now being used by studios and technologists to capture real locations, build digital twins, and create photoreal environments for film, broadcast, and virtual production.

This panel brings together early adopters who are already using 3D Gaussian Splatting in their workflows. Through real case studies and practical insights, speakers will explore how teams are capturing environments faster, achieving high levels of realism, and dramatically reducing the time required to create production-ready assets.

Walk away with a clear understanding of how Gaussian Splatting is being used today, what benefits early adopters are seeing, and what production teams should consider when bringing this technology into their own pipelines.

As traditional advertising models evolve, monetization is moving directly into the storytelling process. New tools are helping creators and brand partners collaborate earlier in the development of programming — identifying placement opportunities, reducing IP and brand risk, and connecting on-screen moments directly to commerce and audience engagement.

This session also explores the growing importance of transparency in brand integration and commercial storytelling — ensuring audiences understand when messaging is sponsored, how partnerships are structured, and how authenticity is maintained in a rapidly expanding content ecosystem.

Holograms — spatial video, volcap, light fields — have long been a research curiosity, used in production mostly for immersive experiences or background content. But recently the landscape has changed; in this talk we’ll cover how AI-driven holographic technology is opening up new possibilities in film, broadcast, and immersive applications.
As recently as five years ago, 3D holographic images looked like a bad video game. This all changed with NeRF and Gaussian Splats, which suddenly were capable of photorealistic holograms. These technologies are just now coming to market, with initial applications in visual effects, immersive entertainment, and augmented reality broadcast. In visual effects, these technologies allow unprecedented control of a virtual camera, producing A-camera-quality outputs while giving creatives absolute control over camera movement. This is more than bullet time, it’s complete control over time and space in a virtual set, entirely captured by cameras. It’s faster to produce and can be higher quality than digi-doubles or deep fakes, plus it’s significantly more fun to work with.

In the broadcast sphere, the technology is currently limited to pre-recorded 3D images — enabling “augmented reality” broadcasts that mix live studio environments with pre-recorded holograms. Today, a studio can drop a full 3D capture of an athlete or celebrity directly into the live broadcast, seamlessly. Within five years, though, this technology will be real time, allowing live holographic experiences — first for 2D displays, then eventually for fully holographic devices.

The talk features recent examples from Aina’s 75-camera system. If you’re interested in next-generation visual experiences, or curious about how holographic tech will influence filmmaking and broadcast in the very near future, this talk is for you.

Generative AI is powerful, but it is still imperfect, inconsistent, and often misaligned with the needs of professional production.

In this session, Koh Terai, CEO and co-founder of Martini, shares a realistic perspective on what it takes to build AI-native tools that are actually useful for modern film and video workflows.

Drawing from what Martini is seeing across production companies, VFX teams, gaming companies, and professional creators, Koh highlights where generative AI is already proving useful in practice, where it still falls short, and what separates serious creative infrastructure from hype.

He also shares how Martini users are applying these tools in practice, and why Martini emphasizes greater control, collaboration, and production-focused design for professional workflows.

Leave with a grounded view of how generative AI can fit into professional creative pipelines today, and where the technology is heading next.
